3 Tips: Replacing Holiday Stress with Relaxation & Gratitude
Helen Hodgson is the owner of Serve the Goddess, a mobile spa service. She encounters many women at their breaking point, because they're trying to do too much and not making their own self-care a priority. She knows that “Our culture glorifies being “busy” … and the imbalances of a stressful life are felt throughout the whole being––body, mind and spirit.”
That's why Helen is thrilled to offer you these simple, inexpensive tips for replacing holiday stress with relaxation and gratitude.
- Start your day with a 3 minute gratitude session, and you'll feel more relaxed all day.
- Connect with a friend or colleague by sending them a handwritten note telling them how much you appreciate them.
- Unplug (really, turn the electronics off, and I'm guilty too) for an hour before bedtime. Write 5 things you're grateful for, that happened that day.
Number 3 is especially important for me, to stay focused on everything good in my life versus what went wrong or didn't get done today.
