This year, the two largest home industry shows have combined to create “Design Construction Week” in Las Vegas. The International Home Builder show provides an amazing opportunity to see new trends in all aspects of home construction from the foundation and exterior home materials to interior finishes from lighting, to flooring, new wall textures and so much more.
Moving indoors, Laurie Laizure who founded the Interior Design Community on Google+, invited me to join more than 40 designers at Modenus “blog tour”. It was fascinating to see so many talented people working together to solve common industry problems defined by Modenus founder Veronika Miller.
After blog tour, went out for tapas with Lauri Laizure, founder of Customized Walls and the Interior Design Community, Ronique Gibson, associate architect in Florida and Jeffrey Johnson, an interior designer from Dallas, TX. 
And it wouldn't be Las Vegas without a little color, bling and entertainment. Truly enjoyed the lights and water show set to music, as Ronique and I walked to the monorail to return to our hotel near the Las Vegas convention center. 
Sorry to have missed you in Vegas, Tina.

I spent most of my time at the International Window Coverings Expo #Vision14Vegas show. You could have found me at the Design Tech Summit. Katy Garrett and her team of innovators rocked!
Marie, Ditto as I only spent a few hours Tuesday at the Window Covering expo and absolutely agree that the folks in the Interior Design community on Google+ are terrific.
